4☆ A Compelling and Gripping Read!
We Never Said Goodbye is a Gripping and Compelling read.
Louise is left devastated when her Husband Mike of 20years decides he no longer wants her and had met someone else.
I mean it's bad enough he's leaving her but it's the way he did. Over the phone....(“We’re through, Louise. Consider yourself dumped!” The line went dead.) I mean wow!
Mike is all she has known and the thought of starting over without him fills her with fear. So much so she tries to take an overdose.
To be honest Mike really isn't the best husband he is manipulative and a bully, with so many hidden secrets and deceit, he deserves all that's thrown at him!
I felt sorry for his Business partner and best friend Steve as he has no clue what Mike is up to behind his back!
Louise is really better off moving on, but I'm not sure it's going to be that easy with secrets Mike has been keeping!
It's not easy for Louise to dust herself off and move on, but luckily she has really good friends that support her and give her the strength to make changes.
We Never Said Goodbye is a Gripping read, it's Poignant, full of Drama, Betrayal, Secrets, but it's also about Self Discovery, Strength and Second Chances and Friendship.
The Characters are well developed, Very Complex and real, but not all are likeable.
Hélene has created the perfect characters that evoked all the right emotions.
This is my first encounter with Hélene Fermont and I'm really looking forward to reading more from her.

Hélene Fermont writes character-driven psychological crime fiction with a Scandi Noir flavour.
