4☆ A Heart Warming, Uplifting and Poignant Story Children will love!
The Arrival of Tavish the Tractor is a wonderfully engaging and poignant Children's Picture Book.
Tavish the Tractor was accidentally turned Purple when a new worker at the Tractor Factory accidentally mixed Red and Blue paint together making Purole.
Tavish knew he was different from the shiny blue and racy red tractors but he was determined to prove to everyone he was a worthy and hard working Tractor.
One day he eventually finds his forever home and he has the opportunity to prove just how special and hard working he is.
There is a strong message throughout that no matter if you Look Different Or are different it doesn't matter, you are still special and important no matter what, and to never give up!
It's such a poignant message the really hits home and teaches young children that it's ok to feel different, and that bullying is never the answer.
It also teaches a lil bit about art and colour mixing, it also teaches what the job of a Tractor is and how important their role is on the farm.
The illustrations are quirky and bright perfect for a children's picture book.
The pages are nice and short and is just long enough to keep young children's attention.
I think it's the perfect read for 5-8years.
5years bedtime or story time read, 5+ group reads or for the more confident reader alone reading.
My only criticism and it could be that this is an advanced copy, but there has no blurb at all on the book cover or inside so if I see this on the shelf I wouldn't have a clue what it was about. This could however just be an overlooked error.
I would definitely recommend reading this Gorgeous Children's Picture Book it certainly made me smile, it was a heart warming, uplifting and Poignant Story Children will love!
Tavish the Tractor certainly stole my heart!
