My story begins aged 3, when my mother abandoned me and left me with my brutal father to raise me. Nobody knew the secrets that went on inside that house, or the journey that I travelled on after leaving it, until now. This is the story of my survival.
What do you do when no one wants you?
How many people need to destroy a child until that child wants to destroy herself?
What if social services always got told a different story?
What would you do if you were in my position?

4☆ Powerful, Thought Provoking, Raw and Emotional, Must Read!
What Nobody Knew is a Poignant, Raw, Thought Provoking read that will tug at your heart.
This story is based on the Authors own story, and what I really appreciated was the amount of supporting statements/ evidence/ documentation from Social Service, Schools etc.. which really gave this read a unique and powerful connection.
The Child was abandoned by her birth mother at a very early age.
Left in sole custody with her alcoholic and abusive father and his long term girlfriend things go from bad to worse.
This really isn't an easy read, but it is a read that will draw you in as you can only pray the child will be ok.
There are some sensitive subjects such as child abuse, violence, neglect, domestic abuse, alcoholism, to name a few. But Hendry writes with raw emotion, Heart and authenticity and it's a story that needs telling!
What Nobody Knew is a raw, emotional and compelling read of a little girl as she battles through childhood and Adulthood alone.
With the special added touches from the statements from the professionals was a very clever concept and it really worked. It helped you get a better understanding.
I want to applaud Amelia Hendrey for sharing her heart breaking story.
She truly is an inspiration!
Would I recommend reading What Nobody Knew... without a doubt... Yes!
