It was fun, lots of laugh out loud moments, a story of starting over and learning to love again, A story about finding out their place in the crazy new world of dating! The opening scenes were by far my favourite within the book. They show Lorrie as a teenager on her first adventure to France in the exchange programe to learn all about the culture etc.. It's here Lorrie is about to make friends and fall in love for the first time.

Image
Dating the Undead -  by Juliet Lyons 5☆  Dating with Bite When I see the cover for Dating the Undead I loved it... the blurb was exciting. It didn't disappoint! The whole concept for a vampire dating site where humans and Vamps can meet & mix is fantastic... it's fresh, and so different from the "normal" dark vampire books. V-Date is the name of the Vampire dating service.  However it does attract attention from all kinds of people... including those with influencing power! As to why they have an interest.... well all will be revealed!

However for me the Book took ages to get going. My Review - The Dating Game - (25/5/17)

Image
The Dating Game - By   Avril Tremayne  3.5☆ Sexy and Fun! This is the second book in the series. Both books can be read as standalone books. I absolutely loved the first book, however this one for me just wasn't as good. I so desperately wanted to like it as much. I feel the characters was lost on the continuous dialogue between Sarah and David. I understand the need for back and forth conversation I just feel the actual story was somewhat lost.

My Review - Summer at the Little Wedding Shop - (26/5/17)

Summer at the Little Wedding Shop: Bunting & Bouquets  - By Jane Linfoot 5☆  Beautiful weddings, fun, Romance This is the first book I have read in this series. I understand this is the 3rd book but each book can be read as a stand-alone. Not having read the others did not matter one bit. Jane eased me into all the characters beautifully. She introduced each character and the beautiful wedding shop with such finesse. I was able to immerse myself straight into the gorgeous wedding shop.

Image
Spring at Blueberry Bay - By  Holly Martin 10☆  - Fabulous and Extremely Addictive! Spring at Blueberry Bay has it all, humour, romance, sizzling sex scenes, heartache, love, lust and New Beginnings. I was literally hooked, drawn in and couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Bella and Isaac and I felt I was every bit part of their journey together. Bella is down on her luck after her previous job as an events organiser ends due to a huge scandal. No one want to give an ex employee a job where embezzlement has occured. She has no money for rent or food but is too proud to accept help from her family. She applies for a job at the homeless charity Umbrella Foundation. Isaac is the CEO and has a very unconventional way of testing applications. He poses as a homeless person to see the person's reaction towards him. He is extremely wealthy and learns people are out to use him so this is he's way of testing if people are genuine.

My Review - The State of Grace - (17/4/17)

Image
The State of Grace - By Rachael Lucas  5☆  I urge everyone to read this gem! State of Grace is a beautiful and insightful story told by Grace who has Aspergers. It is beautifully written, Well researched and for once Aspergers/Autism has been written about.  Autism and Aspergers is very close to my heart. I worked with children with Autism and know the daily struggles trying to make sense of the world. So when I was given the opportunity to read this beautiful book I jumped at the chance. It was so nice to see the story told from Grace's point of view instead of how everyone assumes she feels. We quickly come to read the teachers don't understand Grace.

My Review - Last Breath - (20/4/17)

Image
Last Breath (Detective Erika Foster #4) - By Robert Bryndza 5☆+  Nail biting, Non stop thriller Last Breath is the 4th book by Robert. However it was my first book and I absolutely LOVED IT!! I was hanging onto every word. It was captivating, scary, exciting, pulse racing, and highly addictive... you have been warned! What I loved most about this book was you found out who the killer was within the first half. Well in fact it was a little tease for all of a few pages when I was convinced it was someone else!  Robert has restored my faith in Detective books. I was beginning to tire of them till I read Last Breath.

My Review - Last Witness - (2/5/17)

Image
Last Witness  (Wrong Number #2) - By Carys Jones  4☆  Gripping Thriller- But must read book 1 (wrong number) first. My reasoning for 4 stars was due to the fact I didn't have the opportunity to read the first book. Although it explained the back story I feel by not reading the first book I lacked the feel of background build up and anticipation. I have since reading the book seen other reviews stressing the need to read the first book.  I wish i had read the reviews first. As I think this has the potential to be 5 stars and above. Don't get me wrong I did really enjoy Last Witness it was exciting and dangerous. Just what I love in a thriller. I just felt I was missing the climax from the first book.

My Review - Crimson Lake - (19/5/17)

Image
Crimson Lake - By Candice Fox 4 ☆ Atmospheric and full of Suspicion This is the first book I have read by Candice Fox and it won't be the last! Crimson Lake is a story full of suspense, suspicions and mystery. When Detective Ted Conkaffey happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time... He is falsely accused of the abduction and assault of a young girl.

My Review - The One - (19/5/17)

Image
The One - By John Marrs 5☆ Strangely Compelling and Highly addictive I really enjoyed reading The One. It's actually scary that this could quite possibly happen. Times have moved on in the wonderful world of dating. There are now so many ways to find your perfect match... but to what cost?.... can you really ever be completely sure who your meeting. Through the likes of Tinder, speed dating, etc... What if there was a way you could be sure of finding your perfect match..... would you be interested?? Would you be willing to risk It??

My Review - Obsession - (20/5/17)

Image
Obsession - By Amanda Robson 4☆ Gripping and addictive When I read the blurb of Obsession I wasn't too sure what to expect. What I did find was that the characters, to be honest are very unlikable....but I do believe this is the exactly how the Author wanted you to perceive them.  They are not characters you are meant to like. You will understand more if you have the chance to read this book. I also found the story in general made me feel uneasy if not at times uncomfortable which is exactly what a great physiological thriller should do!

Ella's Ice-Cream Summer (The Ice-Cream Cafe #1) - By Sue Watson 5☆+  Loved it!!  Simply Scrumptious! I want to start by saying WOW!!! What a book! Image
Summer at Conwenna Cove - By Darcie Boleyn 5☆ Heart warming read and feel good read This is my first book i have read by Darcie and it certainly won't be my last. Summer at Conwenna Cove is a beautifully heart warming, feel good read. A big plus for me is the story features beautiful dogs. Always a winner for me as I'm a huge lover of dogs and animals. My Review - Willow Cottage Part 4 - Summer Delights - (31/5/17)

Image
Willow Cottage - Part 4 - Summer Delights (Willow Cottage Series) - By Bella Osborne  4☆ Not to be read as a stand alone! Ok so here is my review! I haven't read the other 3 parts! I couldn't see any information to see if it was a stand alone book. So I went ahead and read the book. The book starts on chapter 34 which is really strange. Obviously now I understand why as each part will eventually make up a whole book. Part 4 consists of chapters 34 - 45 and an Epilogue. Each chapter is very short. I must say it matters a great deal if you haven't read any of the other books as I get the feeling part 4 starts where part 3 finished on an exciting end!
