Book Information

After a shocking confrontation with an unexpected encounter, Constance tries to piece her life back together and is on a mission to finally move on.

The thought of having her friends near is comforting as they take time out of their busy online lives and meet up at their favourite place, A Cupful of Dreams Café. Everyone seems happy enough until cracks begin to show and all is not as good as it seems. Constance tries desperately to keep positive as there’s so much to look forward to: shopping for posh frocks, dinner at The Shard and a movie premiere.

As things start to look rosy, a few odd tweets begin to pop up from nowhere. At first, they seem innocent, but as the weeks go by and premier night draws near, not only do the tweets increase but they become more obnoxious.

By the time Constance and her chums arrive on the red carpet, she’s determined to work out who the troll could be and to keep them from spoiling her evening. However as Constance soon learns, the troll wants to destroy far more than that!

Breathtaking views of London.

Posh frocks and Paparazzi

But there’s definitely trouble in the air …

My Review

4☆ A Heart Warming, Feel Good Read!

The Dinner in the Sky is the third instalment in this fabulously heart warming series.
I do believe that this one can be read as a standalone. Anne gave a short summary of books 1&2 which is perfect for refreshing your memory or getting up to speed with the book so far.

I'm not going to talk too much about the plot incase you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading previous books and they do very much carry on and I don't want to risk giving anything away.

This time round the book is longer, which I loved as we really got to know more about the characters and there quirky ways, which make up this eclectic bunch of friends.

Constance is very much the main character still, and working hard to get her next book finished.
I absolutely adored Charlie, he melted my heart!
Charlie has Autism and Constance uses Macaton as a communication method.
I have used Macaton myself many times, when I was a support worker for a little boy on the Autism Spectrum so i was able to really relate. It bought back many memories.

The Dinner in the Sky is a Feel Good, Warm, Compelling, Light Hearted and Humorous Read.
There is plenty of Drama, Secrets, A dash of Mystery, Potential Romance, Wit and a few juicy twists.
The Characters are a Perfect Mix, they are all so very different with relatable issues and problems, they are eclectic bunch and it was so nice to catch up with everyone it felt like I popped in for a gossip except I didn't want to leave.

I really hope Anne writes another instalment as i can't wait to read more!
