4☆ A Twisty Thriller!
THE DESIRE CARD is a twisty thriller, where everything comes with a price attached!
This is my first book by Goldberg and I'm looking forward to discovering more books.
When I read the blurb for this book it really intrigued me, it's not similar to anything I have previously read before and I like to read different thriller plots. It keeps things fresh and exciting!
I won't go over the story as the blurb pretty much gives away all it needs to, it certainly drew me in!
The opening few pages were really heart pumping as a chase takes place, it drew me in and I couldn't wait to discover why and who was being chased and for what reason.
THE DESIRE CARD is a twisty, gripping story of greed, desire, addiction, battling health, the prices you are willing to pay to get what you want, but most importantly the consequences as everything comes at a cost.
The Characters are desperately flawed and unlikable, but it Really works for the story.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading THE DESIRE CARD, yes it was a slower paced read but it soon picked up and I found myself eager to find out if my predictions was right.
If you are looking for a thriller with a lil bit of a difference, the I definitely recommend reading THE DESIRE CARD!

Author Bio
Lee Matthew Goldberg is the author of the novels SLOW DOWN, THE MENTOR, and THE DESIRE CARD. He has been published in multiple languages and nominated for the 2018 Prix du Polar. The second book in the Desire Card series, PREY NO MORE, is forthcoming from Fahrenheit Press in 2019. His pilots and screenplays have been finalists in Script Pipeline, Stage 32, We Screenplay, the New York Screenplay, Screencraft, and the Hollywood Screenplay contests. After graduating with an MFA from the New School, his writing has also appeared in the anthology DIRTY BOULEVARD, The Millions, Cagibi, The Montreal Review, The Adirondack Review, The New Plains Review, Underwood Press and others.
