Book Information

Extract 2 - Henri, realises that her feelings for Keir MacKenzie are becoming complicated
It was Henri’s custom to cover her head with a scarf fashioned into a turban in the style of workers in a WWII munitions factory. It kept her hair free of dust and insects which had a habit of dropping on her from above. The turban left her neck exposed and the touch of the cold silver chain on the nape of her neck and the trail of Keir’s warm fingers across her skin as he fastened the necklace, made her tremble. Yin and yang. Ice and fire. She hunched her shoulders defensively, and resisted the urge to lean back against him, to feel the solidity of his chest and ribcage against her body’s softer contours. No, no, no. What was she thinking? This would never do.

5☆ An Atmospheric Romance
The Girl In The Castle is a beautifully written Romance.
Lizzie has created a rich atmospheric story that kept me captivated and fully invested into the characters stories.
When Dr Henriette travels to Scotland to Castle Tearmannair to help list ancient valuable books ready to be auctioned off, she doesn't quiet expect to fall in love.
She is there to help her failing career as a Dr so when it's time for her to leave, can she leave the captivating castle and it's residents or will her heart stay in Scotland.
This is my first book by Lizzie and I am very excited to discover more of her work.
When I found out this book was set in Scotland I was excited. I've always wanted to visit Scotland it has an air of mystery and magic about it.
I want to Thank Lizzie for taking me on a trip to Scotland and making me even more eager to visit.
I adored The Girl In The Castle, Lizzie has created a captivating read that had a mystery element, heart warming romance and stunning location that was rich in history and traditions.
I loved the language it was authentic and passionate.
The Characters are strong, witty and believable.
I highly recommend this passionate book if you love romantic stories rich with history, atmospheric locations and a dash of mystery.

Author Bio
After teaching her 1000th pupil and working as a deputy head teacher in a large primary school, Lizzie decided to pursue her first love: writing. She joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s New Writers’ Scheme, wrote Tall, Dark and Kilted (2012), quickly followed by Boot Camp Bride. Although much of her time is taken up publicising her novels she published Scotch on the Rocks, which achieved Best Seller status within two weeks of appearing on Amazon. Her next novel, Girl in the Castle, reached #3 in the Amazon charts. Lizzie is a founder member of indie publishing group – New Romantics Press - and has co-hosted author events at Aspinall, St Pancras and Waterstones, Kensington, talking about writing and the research which underpins her novels.
Lizzie hopes to publish her next romance Sweet Little Lies Summer 2018, and has more Scottish-themed romances planned. As for the years she spent as a teacher, they haven’t quite gone to waste as she is building up a reputation as a go-to speaker on indie publishing, and how to plan, write, and publish a debut novel. Lizzie lives in Leicestershire (UK) with her husband and a naughty parrot called Jasper.
