My Review

4☆ A Delightful children's picture book.

Five Minutes, Alfie! Is a delightful children's picture book. The Illustrations are superb, bright and eye catching.

Alfie just wants 5 more minutes sleep before he has to get up for school.
So he closes his eyes and continues his dream.

Alfie dreams his a King, big and strong.
All is good in Alfie's dream except that he can't leave the

castle as a sleeping Dragon has blocked the way.

So Alfie calls upon his kingdom to help wake the dragon. But no one could wake up the sleeping dragon!
I'll leave it there as I don't want to ruin the story.... but will Alfie be able to awaken the dragon before he's woken up for school?

I really loved how the verse is written in rhyme, its catchy, easy to read and will capture children's imagination.
Five Minutes, Alfie! Teaches children to work together, to be kind always, to help each other, to listen and to problem solve.
I would say this book would be perfect for children ages 3-7 years.
I hope you enjoy this wonderful children's book as much as I did!
