My Review
4☆ A Heart warming, Emotional, Enthralling Must Read!
The Stars in the Night is a beautifully Compelling and Poignant story, that tugged at my heart strings.
Kate is helping her Grandfather Harry with her Grandmother's possessions, after she recently passed away.
Whilst helping she comes across a notebook/Diary that Harry's brother had written.
Inside she discovers an emotional and personal account of his life during the war (WWI)
When Kate asks Harry about the accounts, all the memories come flooding back.
The entries are very powerful and raw as Clare creates an atmospheric account of what it was like for the soldiers and their families.
It's quiet clear how much passion and research Clare has put into creating such vivid memories. From the sights, sounds, emotions, spirit and feelings that she evoked whilst reading.
Overall The Stars In The Night is a compelling and enthralling read, that will tug at your heart strings, it's beautifully written and the characters are vivid, strong and well thought out.
I loved the plot, any book that explores war times fascinate me, and Clare has done a fantastic job at bringing those memories to life.
I am really looking forward to reading more from Clare, she is definitely going on my to watch out for list.

I have not read a lot of books around WWI, so this might be a good choice for me to pick up. Wonderful Review.
