5☆ I was Captivated From the Beginning!
The Earl's Runaway Governess is a compelling and enthralling read, right from the start I was captivated by Marianne's escape to start a new life.
Marianne's parents have both passed away leaving her step brother Henry in sole charge of everything, including her!
But Marianne is becoming increasingly aware of her step brothers unhealthy infatuation towards her, she feared for her safety and her body.
She had no other option but to escape in the night.
With the help of her housekeepers they set up a place she could go to get work as a Governess, with no recommendations needed.
So she sets off on a scary adventure, all alone, with no one to chaperone her, she had no work experience or life experience as she had a personal maid to do everything for her.
It's here she meets the handsome Ash, who has just become The Earl of Kingswood, after his cousin passed away.
He needs a Governess, now he has a responsibility for his Cousins family.
So this is where Marianne comes in, when she is matched for the position.
But can Marianne keep her identity a secret in order to stay safe from her Brother?
Or will Ash discover her secrets?
Ash despises the idea of becoming the next Earl, he hates responsibilities and really doesn't want to be tied down to family. Especially since he was attracted to his cousin's wife, putting them at loggerheads!
I admired Marianne's strength and courage. She is strong, determined, sassy.
I loved the increasingly sizzling chemistry between Ash and Marianne, as romance brewed between them.
The Earl's Runaway Governess is such a captivating regency romance, there was secrets, mystery, danger, intrigue, romance and humour.
I loved the characters they were all well written and believable.
The story is told by Marianne and Ash, which I really enjoyed as there stories entwined you got to delve more into their lives, which flowed along seamlessly.
Would I recommend reading this Gorgeous Book..... Without a Doubt.... 100%.... Yes!
I adore Catherine Tinley's books and I can't wait to see what's next!
