Book Information

Christmas is coming and New York is in full swing for the snowy season. But at The Little Knitting Box in the West Village, things are about to change …
The Little Knitting Box has been in Cleo’s family for nearly four decades, and since she arrived fresh off the plane from the Cotswolds four years ago, Cleo has been doing a stellar job of running the store. But instead of an early Christmas card in the mail this year, she gets a letter that tips her world on its axis.
Dylan has had a tumultuous few years. His marriage broke down, his mother passed away and he’s been trying to pick up the pieces as a stay-at-home dad. All he wants this Christmas is to give his kids the home and stability they need. But when he meets Cleo at a party one night, he begins to see it’s not always so easy to move on and pick up the pieces, especially when his ex seems determined to win him back.
When the snow starts to fall in New York City, both Cleo and Dylan realise life is rarely so black and white and both of them have choices to make. Will Dylan follow his heart or his head? And will Cleo ever allow herself to be a part of another family when her own fell apart at the seams?
Full of snow, love and the true meaning of Christmas, this novel will have you hooked until the final page.

My Review

5☆ A warm Romantic feel good read, that's full of Christmas magic

When I first see Christmas at the Little Knitting Box I was so excited as it bought back so many beautiful memories of knitting with my Nan.
She taught me all the stitches. Even when I lost a few lol!
Unfortunately my Nan is no longer with us and reading this story might just inspire me to find my knitting needles again!  Well that's if my rheumatoid let's me lol But that's for another time!

The Little Knitting Box is a treasure box of all things beautiful. From the delicate alpaca yarn, to the beautiful buttons.
Cleo has literally thought of everything.
All of the Little Knitting clubs where people just come to socialise it's a place I wish i could visit. There are so few of these gems around now!

Cleo is now running the Little Knitting Box for her Grandpa Joe after her Grandma passed away he could no longer cope. Plus Cleo is running from her past!

So when Cleo gets a letter to say she has 1 year left on her lease she is devestated.
There is no way she can afford to buy somewhere else. She just doesn't know what the future holds!

When Violet her best friend invites her to a party she really isn't in the mood to go, but she never gets out and maybe it's time to have some fun.
After a good few wines she relaxes.

In walks Dylan! He is very gorgeous!
They get talking over a bottle of champagne and he tells her that he had just buried his mother that day!
Cleo and Dylan instantly connect and their is obviously a spark and a very steamy embrace up a tree!! LOL

But Dylan has 2 children and Cleo really doesn't want to play mother.
She has a very strained relationship with her step mum and it's scared her.

Will things work out for them?
Will Cleo be able to let her guard down?
What are the secrets Cleo is hiding!
Will the Little Knitting Box survive?

Dylan is a fantastic Dad, Prue walked out on him and their 2 children as he lost his job and Prue was all about the money and lifestyle. Dylan could no longer provide her with her lavish lifestyle so she left!
Grrr now she's back.... but what does she want?

I loved Cleo she has a heart of gold, but clearly has a lot of issues when it comes to relationships.
Cleo loves Christmas and maybe it's time she had herself a magical romantic Christmas!!

I adored this beautifully charming book. There is emotion, romance, gorgeous knitting, loveable characters  ( especially Grandpa Joe who is a big charmer and a hit with the ladies) , family dramas, friendship, and best of all its Christmas!

I highly recommend this book to those looking for a warm, cosy Christmas read that will make you feel good, and fall in love with the charming Little Knitting Box.

Guest Post

Q: why did you call it the Little Knitting Box, do you knit and if so what's the best and worst thing you have ever knitted.
I find it really hard to think of names for shops, companies and fictitious towns but I knew I wanted the word ‘knitting’ in the title for this book, along with the word Christmas. I’d read an article somewhere about yarn boxes and so that gave me the idea for the complete title. I added the ‘little’ because it sounded quaint and romantic and this set the scene for the book as well as representing the themes.
Before I began my research for Christmas at the Little Knitting Box, I never realised how many different types of knitting there were or how many types of wool! I also learnt about the more luxurious wools which made me wonder what it would be like to have something made with that type. Vicuna sounds like the type of wool you definitely wouldn’t want to make a mistake with because it’s so expensive.
I can just about do a few stitches of knitting, but not much! I was never very interested (or any good) at home economics at school, unless it was cookery! So my talent stopped at an awful tea towel I attempted to make once, and I only ever learnt basic knitting but never took it further. I think it would be an amazing skill to have and apparently it’s also therapeutic. My great aunt used to knit and she was one of the fastest knitters I’ve ever known. It was even relaxing sitting listening to the clickety-clack of those needles.
My mum and dad are both keen knitters and I absolutely love homemade jumpers in particular. My mum has knitted so many lovely cardigans and tops for the grandchildren and over the years both mum and dad have knitted my own children and us, jumpers, scarves, hats, and gloves. My dad also knitted me a draft excluder for a particularly cold house I lived in in Melbourne, and more recently he knitted me a Santa and a snowman which I get out at Christmas. They’re gorgeous and I’m in awe of his talent!

Book Information

It's the most wonderful time of the year...but is it the time to fall in love?

As the flames on the log fire flicker and the snowflakes swirl above the New York streets, maybe this Christmas could be the one that changes everything...

When Darcy returns to Manhattan, she’s put in charge of the Inglenook Inn, a cosy boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village. The Inn needs a boost in bookings if it’s to survive the competition, so Darcy is convinced that hosting Christmas this year is the answer. What she doesn’t expect is to meet a face from the past, which can only spell trouble.

Myles left England behind and took a job in New York. It’s a step forwards in his career, and has the added bonus of being nowhere near his family. He’s also hoping to avoid Christmas, the worst time of the year. But when his company puts him up at the Inglenook Inn and he recognises Darcy, it isn’t long before they clash.

When disaster strikes, can Myles and Darcy put their differences aside to make Christmas at the Inglenook Inn a success?
