Book Information
So who exactly is Sukie McClaren?
A Christmas-loving Cat lover? A Sound of Music Fanatic? A Fiercely Independent Woman?
She is all of the above. And when she is sent to Salzburg for a business trip a few weeks before Christmas, she thinks all her dreams have come true. As she packs her suitcase, the only things on her mind are Christmas markets, lots of snow and finally seeing the Doh-Ray-Me steps. Becoming the new best friend of the world’s hottest rock-star doesn’t even get a look in.
Pete Wallace is a reclusive, reluctant, rock-star and the world’s Number One, best-selling, male solo artist. It’s been three years since his last tour and he’s now preparing to go back on the road again. A week in Salzburg, schmoozing with the music press, is one of his worst nightmares.
He can’t wait for it to be over.
When Pete and Sukie meet, it is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Lonely for too long, he begins to remember how it feels to be happy and, for the first time in six years, Christmas feels special again.
Eduardo di Santo however, whose kid sister suffered life-changing injuries at a Pete Wallace concert, is all set on getting revenge. When Pete’s new tour is announced, he begins to make his plans. Plans that will culminate in Pete's demise.
Will Pete and Sukie’s new friendship die before it has a chance to flourish?
A Christmas tale full of love, laughter, friendship and revenge.

My Review
4☆ Fun, Music, Scenery, Friendships with sprinkle of Romance what more could you want!
A Rock 'n' Roll Lovestyle is Kiltie's Debut Novel. It whisks you off too Salzburg, for plenty of fun, beautiful scenery, a sprinkle of Romance, music, Suspense, Drama, Family and Friendship.
When Sukie gets the opportunity to travel to Salzburg with work she jumps at the chance. She adores the Sound of Music so this place has a special place in her heart she just can't wait to see. Booking a few days extra for herself is the Perfect escape!
Checking into the gorgeous hotel she bumps straight into the Famous Rock Star Manager Jordie. Jordie treats her like dirt, as if she is another one of Pete's Groupies, but determined to put him in his place Sukie does just that proving him wrong!
On the side lines a very amused Pete is watching. He has never seen anyone treat His manager like that before and he is intrigued.
Pete is a famous Rock Star and is in Salzburg for his tour. He really hates being in the limelight and would much rather be creating music backstage!
I loved Sukie and Pete's encounters! She isn't a fan like the other girls he meets which is what makes their friendship more solid.
Sukie is fiesty and not affraid to speak up.
Pete is actually shy, endearing and really wants to back away from performing.
Can these unlikely pair find love in Salzburg or will it just be the breathtaking scenery they fall in love with?
This is not your typical Christmas book it's so much more.
Kiltie writes with such passion her love of music simply shines right through.
Every little detail has been thought out and researched so well it allows the reader to be transported to Salzburg. The Christmas markets, the smells, sights and scenery every little detail captivates the senses!!
The only thing I found a little difficult to start with was the amount of characters bought in at such an early stage. I did start to feel a lil confused.
But as the book went on the characters were perfectly sloted in. So bare with it if you start to get a lil confused you will warm to it.
Overall a really enjoyable read. Lots of fun, humour, Drama, Friendships and Romance not forgetting the music.
If you're looking for a Christmas read with a dash of Romance but a hint of Drama and suspense then this book is the Perfect read! It has so much more than your average Christmas Story!
Kiltie has done a fantastic job with Rock 'n' Roll Lovestyle and I'm very excited to discover what will be next!
She is definitely one to watch!!

Guest Post
I an very very excited about sharing Kiltie's Guest Post. I hope you will enjoy it as much as i have! In my eyes she us a Legend!!
Rockin’ All Over the World.
When I was working on the initial plot for my debut novel ‘A Rock ‘n’ Roll Lovestyle, it was without any hesitation that I chose to make my male protagonist a world famous musician because this was a topic I knew rather well.
I’ve met many famous musicians over the years but the most exciting occasion was when I won a competition on MTV to travel to Sweden to meet Bon Jovi. Let me take you back…
It was June 1995. Bon Jovi had released their sixth album ‘These Days’ and were on the European leg of their world tour. They’d just finished a three-night stint at Wembley Stadium and yes, yours truly here attended all three. A few days after these gigs, I received a phone call from my friend Janet informing me that MTV were running a competition that evening to meet Bon Jovi in Sweden. It was a phone-in and we both made the usual promise that, if either of us won (cue lots of laughter) we’d take the other along.
Typically, however, when I arrived home, I found my bathroom totally flooded and water pouring through the ceiling from my neighbours upstairs who were out. This was before the days of everyone and his dog owning mobile phones so there was no way of contacting them. As theirs was a council property I had to call the council who sent out an emergency plumber. The police also had to attend as it would be necessary to break in to the property. I was not, however, going to allow all this to interfere with my plans. As soon as 7.30 arrived, I closed myself in the lounge, ready to make a phone call as soon as the lines opened. When the crazy moment arrived, I was lucky enough to get through on my second attempt! Oh my goodness… Can you even begin to imagine the butterflies in my stomach at that point? As I was waiting to hopefully be in with a chance of winning, there was a knock on the door. Two policemen and a plumber were on the receiving end of my scream “Go away! I’m trying to win a Bon Jovi competition here!” I must have sounded very forceful because all three beat a retreat out of the room and waited in the hallway. Just then, a voice on the phone told me I was line number two and my turn was coming up next. To cut a long story a bit shorter, I answered the questions correctly and won a trip for two to Sweden for the Fourth of July Bon Jovi gig.
Janet and I flew to Stockholm the night before and were driven to the gig in a black, stretch, limousine! Upon our arrival, we were presented with our passes and whisked away to the Corporate Hospitality Suite where Bon Jovi were just about to give a press conference. We sat through that before being introduced to the band afterwards. Now, one thing I had learnt, in all the years of meeting famous people was to treat them normally. No airs or graces. As such, the opening conversation with Jon Bon Jovi went as follows:
Me: “It’s lovely to meet you guys but I really need to ask, when are you pissing off back to the States because this is now the fifth time I’ve seen you in about three weeks and it’s getting rather boring.”
JBJ: Fifth time? How have you managed that?
Me: “I saw your street busking session on the South Bank followed by three nights at Wembley.”
JBJ: “You went to all three Wembley gigs?”
Me: “Yup, sure did.”
JBJ: “I wish I’d known, I’d have given you my washing!”
Naturally this was followed by lots of laughter and further banter. Due to Janet and me not being starry-eyed or awe-struck, we got to hang out with the band for most of the day. Dave Bryan escorted us around and took us to the back-stage areas that our passes did not permit us to go.
When the gig was over, we were bundled into the mini-vans which took us, and the band, back to their hotel. We thought they were being polite by taking us back to the city but no, they wanted us to help them roadie their gear at the other end. In fairness, even the band carried something.
Talking to the guys in the bar afterwards, we gained a lot of insight into much of the inane stuff they have to put up with due to their fame and it was that knowledge which helped me to write about Pete’s troubles and woe’s in my book. And, just like Pete, Bon Jovi were (and still are) a really decent bunch of blokes who just want to be treated like normal human beings.

Author Bio
Kiltie grew up in Scotland, Glasgow to be precise. A very unique city with a very unique way of looking at life. When she was old enough to do so, she moved to London and then, after several years of obtaining interesting experiences -which are finding their way into her writing - she moved up to the Midlands.
She currently lives in Staffordshire with five cats and one husband. The cats kindly allow her and her husband to share their house on the condition they keeps paying the mortgage!
Her little home is known as Moggy Towers, even though despite having plenty of moggies, there are no towers!
She loves reading, watching movies, and visiting old castles. She really dislikes going to the gym!
Her biggest desire is that one day she can give up the day job and write her stories for a living.
Kiltie first began writing 'A Rock 'n' Roll Lovestyle' over ten years ago. The project was shelved on Chapter Seventeen as she felt the story wasn't flowing as she would like it to.
In her own words "The images in my head would not come out of my fingers!" Fast forward to November 2016 when, having finished reading Lizzie's Christmas Escape by Christie Barlow, she read more about the author and was inspired with how Christie herself came to be a best-selling author.
In that thunderbolt moment, Kiltie knew - with a deep certainty- that she needed to reacquaint herself with 'A Rock 'n' Roll Lovestyle' and begin writing again. She did this in January 2017 and found the words flowed faster than she could type them. Finally, the time was right for her to write her novel.
Her determination to finish what she had started all those years ago was absolute and the first draft was completed on Sunday 16th April 2017.
Since beginning to write again, the ideas have not stopped flowing. She has begun typing up her second book, 'Of All the Unlikely Places', and book three (not yet titled) has been worked out and is waiting in the wings for its turn in the spotlight.
She currently has a further ten plots and ideas stored in her file (it's costing a fortune in USB drives as each story has its own memory stick!) and the ideas still keep on coming.
She now lives her life around the following three quotes:
"I love having weird dreams, they're great fodder for book plots!"
"Why wait for your ship to come in when you can swim out to meet it?"
"Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!"
