Book Information
Love is like a fine perfume. The top note draws you in, an instant attraction, but the Heart Note is the true essence. Like true love – a great perfume should be a woman’s perfect match.
At least, that’s what perfume counter manager, Lily Lucas, tells her customers in one of Australia’s largest department stores.
It’s almost Christmas, the store is bedecked with baubles and Lily has about eleventy billion gifts to wrap and sell. She and her team of spritzer chicks are glamorous, professional and hoping they don’t have to wear the hideous red onesies and reindeer antlers the store manager has in mind.
The high point of Lily’s work life is Christos Cyriakos, ex-cop, security guard, possible Greek god. He's a mystery box she’d love to unwrap. But can she trust him?
All Lily wants for Christmas is to kiss Christos (and more), catch a band of thieves running amok in the store, and live happily ever after. Is that too much to wish for?

My Review
5☆ A Sexy, Saucy, Romantic Christmas read with a sprinkle of Mystery!
Heart Note is by far my favourite Saucy Christmas cover. I absolutely love the cheeky cover that represents the story perfectly.
Heart Note is Quick Novella, That is Steamy, Sexy, Fun, yet Romantic, with a sprinkle of Mystery and a whole lot Christmas Cheer. That will leave you a lil hot under the collar and wanting more!
Oh and if you like perfume too then you will love this story.
From the very first few pages...i knew this was going to be one fun read, and I wasn't disappointed!!
Lily has just started her new job at Harrison’s department store on the perfume counter as a Manager.
During training Lily has to take part in a trust exercise where she falls & someone catches her!
With no one volunteering.... The very sexy Greek God like Christos walks forward fully prepared to catch Lily!
WOW OH WOW Christos has made Lily hotter than hot, the chemistry between them is red hot and she hasn't even fell into his arms yet!! Pass the fire extinguisher!!!
So when Lily finally starts work she finds out Christos is also the stores newest security guard.
How happy is Lily! All she needs now is for him to talk to her!
I loved Lily, she is fun, a bit of a day dreamer, has alot of love for her lil Sis K.C
Who I would love to of been introduced too earlier on as I think she could be a live wire!
Lily hasn't had it easy bringing up K.C on her own.
So it was great to see her have some fun and make some friends!
Christos is also a family man, he comes across as a little reserved and maybe a lil shy. He is very strong and protective. He oozes Charm and is very sexy!
But one thing he definitely has, is lots of Passion and a huge amount of chemistry for Lily!
But is Christos for real? Or is he hiding something?
If you are looking for a Quick, Very Easy Christmas read that is lots of fun, has silly costumes, some laugh out loud moments, quirky fun characters, a perfume that quiet frankly smells rough, a splash of mystery, some hot and steamy encounters then this is definetly the read for you!
Be warned this book is highly addictive and will leave you wanting more!!!
I really hope there is more to come!
This is my first book by Cassandra O'Leary and I'm excited to read more!

Guest Post
Make Me Laugh, Make Me Sigh
My favourite romcom movies
My favourite romcom movies. Ooooh, this is a hard topic. I’m a film and TV fangirl so narrowing down choices to any kind of ‘best of’ list is tricky. It might even be impossible! But I’m a never say die kind of person so here goes…
- When Harry Met Sally
Not only because of the ‘I’ll have what she’s having’ line, but the overall chemistry between the actors and storyline and dialogue are all great. Can men and women really be friends? It’s a fabulous premise and topic for endless discussion. Also it’s set around Christmas and New Year, so it gets bonus points for being festive.
- 10 Things I Hate About You
I think this one is somewhat underrated because it’s a teen movie. Starring the super Heath Ledger (so sad he’s passed away) and Julia Stiles, this is an updated take on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Julia is the shrew because she hates boys and dating and would rather wear all black and start her own indie rock band. Yeah! Heath also writes heartfelt poetry and sings, if you’re into that sort of thing… #thud
- Working Girl
Harrison Ford and Melanie Griffiths are both amazing in this film, not to mention Sigourney Weaver as a scheming boss. Doubly (or is that tripley?) amazing when you add a great script, a fish-out-of-water scenario and an office romance, and the smart story context of the difficulty of rising to the top in a corporate culture dominated by privileged people. I need to watch this one again.
- Romancing The Stone
This one did get a re-watch this week! I just love Kathleen Turner as a romance novelist and ‘hopeful romantic’ who has fancy dinners with her cat and cries at the ending of her own novel. Michael Douglas plays a fun take on an alpha male hero too, since he’s actually a bit of a crook on the run and doesn’t really want to be a hero. I’d kiss him if he rocked up at my place in a yacht with crocodile boots! P.S. this movie may have been responsible for me wanting to be a romance novelist.
- Paperback Hero
Never heard of it? That’s why I added it to the list. This is an Aussie film from years ago, starring a then not so well-known actor named Hugh Jackman. He plays an outback trucker who secretly writes romance novels under a female pen name. What? Sold! Take my money. I saw it at the cinema on its initial release and told everyone it was fantastic but sadly it didn’t do so well at the box office.
I could actually go on and create a very long list indeed, but this will do! I always want to know about underrated gems though, so if you think of another romantic comedy I might not have seen, please comment or send an email to cassandra@cassandraolearyauthor.com
