You are cordially invited to the party of the season where you'll meet Constance and friends in action.
Constance Jeffries is excited when she gets the chance to meet up with virtual friends at a get-together in a London hotel. She’s been tweeting and messaging her lovely friends for years and feels they must be just as excited to finally meet her in person too. Or so she hopes.
The Big Event is first part in a short story series about the importance of ‘real’ friendships and how it’s the little things that matter the most.

5☆ A Quick Fun Sparkly read.
The Big Event - Part 1 is a very quick yet fun read!
It shows you the importance of friendships, how social media can be deceiving, uncovering people's true colours!
Plus it demonstrates just how powerful books can be!
Constance is a sucessful Author and uses Social media to help get her book out there, and along the way she has made some good friends!
When Constance decides to attend The Big Event Party, she is buzzing for the Social Media get together, and to meet her Twitter/Instagram friends finally after so long talking and sharing over Twitter!
However armed with presents for her online friends, she is about to enter the real world and she is quick to discover, images and people can be deceptive and are really not always what they seem!
She is also about to make some surprising discoveries and a friendship where she least expected.
Poor Constance is having the worst night!
That is until she bumps into Romance Author Estelle.
I really enjoyed reading The Big Event. It's a book that you can easily get lost into.
I really enjoyed discovering Constance's friends. There are some pretty quirky, crazy characters which I loved.
This is my very first book by Anne John-Ligali and I am certainly going to be looking out for more!
Anne writes with a great sense of humour and Witt, which made the characters personalities shine through, making them all the more believable. Love them or hate them you will definetly remember them.
From a Strictly wannabe, To a love rat, to a stuck up blogger
I am really looking forward to Part 2 the blurb looks really intriguing!
So if your looking for a nice feel good read, with humour and witt, intriguing & wacky characters, a touch of emotion, friendships and Christmas Sparkle. Then this book is definitely one for you!
I have a feeling this book is one to watch!
Plus the book trailer is simply Charming and oozes Christmas fun! Definitely worth a watch!

Author Bio
Anne John-Ligali is a writer and the founder of Books and Authors UK, a popular website featuring author interviews and book reviews. She loves all things books: reading, writing, going to book events, and meeting other book lovers. She has written a series of short stories and is currently writing her first novel.
When Anne is not writing, she is likely to be at soft play with her kids, taking long evening walks in Hyde Park, making green smoothies, window shopping, or having a pampering session at her local beauty salon (whenever she gets the chance). She can also be found watching box sets (albeit with a bit of shame at still having to catch up on Scandal, Grey’s, and Downton).
Originally from Peterborough, Anne now lives in London. After moving to London, she studied graphic design at the University of Arts and has held a number IT administration jobs in the city. Anne continues writing and aspires to write more women’s fiction books, a non-fiction book and several children’s books.
