My Review
5☆ A Beautiful read, full of fun & Frolics.
The Big House on Lovelace Lane is the second book in the series.
It can be read as a standalone, but the characters appear in both books so I highly recommend reading them in order.
I was so thrilled to be back on Lovelace Lane. It felt like being home again with the loveable Characters Alice always manages to create.
This time we visit the big house home to Fiona & Lawrence & their 3 children Olivia, Lucas & Ginny & the Annexe on the side home to Ruth (Fiona's Mother).
The Big House is full of Fun, Frolics and Mischief!
Fiona is a force to be reckoned with and she is determined to find her mother a man, since her Dad passed away.
But Ruth, well she is just happy being free to enjoy life and her grandchildren.
Now one thing you should know about Lovelace Lane.... is that love and romance, drama, tragedy and excitement oozes from every household & tenant past and present.
There is something quiet magical about living on Lovelace Lane.
Whether they believe it or not love is in the air!
As Ruth is about to find out when a certain man walks into her life and they bond over long lost letters and family.
It's a pleasure to see their friendship blossom.
It is very refreshing to read about the older generation finding love alongside the younger generation.
I adored Ruth, she was the perfect Grandmother/ Mother.
She protected her daughter Fiona even though she knew what she was potentially doing was wrong.
She knew exactly when to step in and help her grand daughters in their quest for love.
She truly was a breath of fresh air.
Lol I loved it when she names her grandson Lucas and his girlfriend Freya - 'Frucas'
as they are always kissing!!
Alice once again transports me right into the heart of the Big House.
Alice has this way of creating memorable Characters that you simply fall in love with, or want to make them your friend.
Once you step into the Lovelace series you most definitely won't want to leave!
The Big House on Lovelace Lane is a beautifully Enchanting read, that has drama, romance, family, friendship, secrets, lies, it's a funny, Charming, Heartwarming, Cosy read that will leave you wanting more!
Which is great as book 3 and 4 is already available. I can't wait to jump right back in! Book 4 is the Christmas book so I plan to be reading that next week! Right in time for Christmas!
I adore Alice Ross's books and can't wait to read more!

Alice Ross used to work in the financial services industry where she wrote riveting, enthralling brochures about pensions and ISAs that everyone read avidly and no one ever put straight into the bin.
One day, when nobody was looking, she managed to escape. Dragging her personal chef (aka her husband) along with her, she headed to Spain, where she began writing witty, sexy, romps designed to amuse slightly more than pension brochures.
Missing Blighty (including the weather - but don't tell anyone), she returned five years later and now works part-time in the tourism industry.
When not writing, she can be found scratching out a tune on her violin, walking her dog in wellies two sizes too big (don't ask!), or standing on her head in a yoga pose.
