YA Fantasy isn't my usual genre, but I have to say that once I started reading The Spellworker I was Completely hooked.
There was so much Adventure, Danger, Mystical Magic, Witty Humour, it was a Gripping Adventure that I was fully invested in! Oh and that Book cover is stunning!
Princess Fiamma is the last protector of the Mystical Book of Tongues.
When her Citadel where she lives comes under attack, by a powerful Spellworker and their arch enemies the Norda, she is forced to flee to protect the Sacred Book, much to her annoyance.
Handsome Soldier Hurth is sent with Fiamma to protect her and the book. Although it's very, very obvious neither of them like each other, but they're stuck together so they just have to get on with it.
Set out together on a dangerous journey to return the book to safety, to the Weralph Isles, they must not only face the harshness of the terrain, but ward of dangerous enemies and a magical Spellworker hell bent on getting their hands on Fiamma and the Book!
But Fiamma has another added worry.... The Book of Tongues is talking to her, and she has no clue if it's dangerous or if she just so happens to be the chosen one who can read the book!
Wow this book really did blow me away, like I said it's not my usual genre but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading it
Seeing Fiamma and Hurth’s simmering attraction, the danger and perils they faced and the characters they encountered was Enthralling.
The Spellworker is the first book in a brand new series and I can't wait for the next!
