Book Information
After a gruelling academic year head teacher Harper MacDonald is looking forward to a summer holiday trekking in Nepal. Her plans are scuppered when her wayward niece, Ariel, leaves a note announcing she’s running away with a boy called Pen. The only clue to their whereabouts is a scribbled footnote: I’ll Be in Scotland.
Cue a case of mistaken identity when Harper confronts the boy‘s father - Rocco Penhaligon - accusing him of cradle snatching her niece and ruining her bright future. At loggerheads, Harper and Rocco set off in hot pursuit of the teenagers, but the canny youngsters are always one step ahead. And, in a neat twist, it is the adults who end up in trouble, not the savvy teenagers.
Can Cupid convince Harper and Rocco that they have found their soul mates?
Fasten your seatbelt for the road trip of your lifetime -
It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

My Review
4☆ A Feel-good, Laugh out Loud Romantic Adventure!
Super Headteacher Harper MacDonald is relieved school term is over and she can finally enjoy her summer trip to Nepal. But unfortunately it seems her Niece Ariel has other ideas.
When Harper finds a note from Ariel saying she's taken off to Scotland with Pen instead of going to stay with her Mum.
Her imagination goes wild and all she can think about is them running off to elope.
Quick to find out more about this mysterious boy, Harper goes to the local garage to confront his Dad.
In order to persuade him to get Pen home.
But it appears Pen has left a similar letter. Setting off in his old mini.
Determined to get them both back and to stop them potentially making the biggest mistakes of their lives the pair set off together to fetch them home.
Oh how I laughed when Rocco rocked up in full leathers and a helmet for Harper and telling her she needs to get on his bike, as he throws his gear on her designer luggage. Her face was a picture I can just see it 😂🙈
As the blurb quite rightly says...."And, in a neat twist, it is the adults who end up in trouble, not the savvy teenagers." .....And from the minute Harper climbs on Rocco's bike you just know there's going to be trouble, mayhem, and most definitely a spark.... and it's not coming from the spark plugs either 😉
There was so so many things from the offset that made me laugh out loud with this book. It was such a feel-good story and exactly what I've been craving as I've been feeling pretty low.
So if you are looking for a book that will most definitely get you laughing and smiling, whilst whisking you off on an crazy adventure, with a pair of Charismatic and loveable Characters, with love on the horizon for the least likeliest pair, then I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Harper's Highland Fling!

Lizzie is a founder member of indie publishing group – New Romantics Press, and has hosted author events at Aspinall, St Pancras and Waterstones, Kensington, talking about the research which underpins her novels. Lizzie romance Take Me, I’m Yours, set in Wisconsin, also achieved BEST SELLER status >travel>USA. Her latest novel - Harper’s Highland Fling - has been declared her ‘best one yet’ by readers and reviewers. Thank you so much for reading Harper's Highland Fling and for awarding it 4 stars. I read you bio and you say that reading helps you to forget your pain and the world's troubles. Writing does exactly the same for me. Writing Harper's Highland Fling during the pandemic kept my mind off it!! I still think of Rocco and Harper and readers have asked for a sequel, but I'm not sure about that. Have just started #7 and I hope that next time I have a blog tour you will join in and leave another review. Lizzie xx
